Still working with VS 2012 Update 3?

Aug 28, 2013 at 10:35 AM
Hello,

in my solution i am not able to see the recipes anymore.
I know that in the meantime, the framework version of my projects changed from 4 to 4.5, and I also installed the latest Visual Studio Updates (Update 3).

I don't know how to troubleshoot this problem...
Can you confirm if this extension should still working with Visual Studio Update 3 or not?

Thank you

Hi Marc,

i cannot confirm this.
  • Installed Update 3 and everything still works
  • Created a new SCSF solution and converted all projects to 4.5 - still works.
Maybe you have to re-activate to recipes at Tools->Guidance Package Manager?

Hi Oliver,

that did it for me!
For some reason, all the recipes were deactivated..

Thank you! :)

Hi tommychiu,

what's happening? Is the menu item missing? Do you get an exception?

I can't create business module after project created. I have to completely shut down VS2012 and re-open the project then I can create module.

Hi tommychiu,

can reproduce this. The entries for "Create new business Modules" are missing right after i created a solution. Don't know if this is a problem which occured in the original version. At least you found a workaround for now.

I don't have this problem when I using the VS2010 version.
